Thursday, April 23, 2023, the annual “Day in the Park” Picnic was held at Homewood Park. The weather was “picnic perfect,” food was plentiful, and recipients had many choices of activities. Many enjoyed spending the time socializing , enjoying the music, and reconnecting with old friends. The day was extra special because Day in the Park was last held in the spring of 2019 due to the pandemic, and concerns for everyone’s health. As picnic guests arrived, they each received a JBS backpack, bags of freshly popped popcorn and cool drinks as they engaged in games and activities. Cornhole was especially popular! Delicious BBQ chicken sliders, chips and cookies were distributed at lunchtime, and everyone was encourage to enjoy a refreshing Italian Ice afterwards. Prizes ran the gamut from gift cards, bath & body products, personal care items, t-shirts, room décor, gadgets, jewelry, and delicious baked goods. Everyone walked a way a winner by the end of the picnic. A huge thank you to all the JBS staff who made the day a success!!!
